Wifi Tracker is a wireless network scanner that provides insights into the status of Wi-Fi networks within your vicinity.

Have you ever desired to locate and map those hard-to-find open Wi-Fi access points?

This Wi-Fi scanner utilizes GPS and Wi-Fi in conjunction to detect Wi-Fi hotspots, saving their locations to a file that can then be exported to a KML file for Google Earth, exported to Kismet, or uploaded in real-time using web uploads.

It excels in wardriving scenarios, capable of logging the positions of numerous access points without crashing or generating duplicates.

Ideal for conducting site surveys (identifying unsecured Wi-Fi access points) or conducting large-scale security audits, the scanner offers slow-down options for scanning while moving on foot, enabling users to walk, run, and still have the scanner operational without excessive battery consumption.

Moreover, it caters to individuals interested in exploring available Wi-Fi networks; for instance, one could drive around the city center to observe various access points (open, secured, insecure, etc.).

The CSV export functionality allows users to manipulate data in preferred spreadsheet editors (Excel, OpenOffice / LibreOffice) or visualize access points using KML export.

Additionally, WiFi Tracker identifies the manufacturers of detected access points such as Netgear, D-Link, 3Com, Apple, Linksys, among others.

When the Torque app is running on the device and connected to a high-resolution (QStarz 818XT) GPS device, WiFi Tracker automatically enhances its GPS data with the higher-resolution data from Torque.
